Over a single 48-hour sprint at Station F, ten teams of three to five builders went hands-on with the OpenArm, a fully open-source 7-DoF humanoid robot arm. Each team received complete hardware and a teleoperation kit, plus simulation environments to prototype ahead of time. The challenges spanned grasping, manipulation, picking and placing, pouring and cloth handling, the kind of dexterous real-world tasks that push physical AI forward. Beyond the build, participants had access to the GOSIM conferences next door, turning the weekend into a full immersion in the people and ideas shaping robotics.
